Maybe I'm in the minority, but until word of this web site popped up on Myspace from a friend's bulletin I had no clue there was even another school shooting. So I found out _today_.
I admit I don't watch the news religiously or monitor newspapers but the fact that there was no big announcement from my own daughter's school is a depressing statement on the way our country now treats these tragedies: all too common.
I should say that my daughter attends University in Boulder.
Stay strong Chicago. And I read about the protestors who plan to destroy the ambience of the memorials and victim funerals. This disgusts me. Do not give in to them. They are like terrorists. The more you give in to them, the more you have helped them accomplish their goal. If you see them there, ignore them. It will be hard, but you can do it. I would be there to support if I could, but I'm thousands of miles away. :-/
