When I first heard the news of the shootings the first thoughts that ran through my head is all the friends I have at NIU and the despair they are feeling. I didn't know any of the victims but that doesn't make it easier. I don't know how I should feel, sad, mournful, angry? All I know is that when I think, "this can never happen to me"; I am so wrong. Its a scary world now, but I chose not to live in fear. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims, as well as every student at NIU. I believe in GOD and that he will protect the victims.

I'm sorry for the loss. Prayers are being sent worldwide.
