My best friend goes to NIU. I have a voicemail from her left shortly after, and you can hear the University message saying "There is a gunman.." etc. It is the scariest thing I've ever heard. I love my friend, and it was absolutely terrifying.
I was in that room 3 weeks ago, and am aware of how much worse it could have been. The police were on the scene within two minutes. Thats amazing. That's better than the town I live in. I pan on still transferring to NIU, and my thoughts and prayers are with all NIU students, parents, and friends.
